I am trying to keep the site up to date and add new content regularly. I have added a couple of new tutorials to the SIG tutorials page. I have updated the Book Reviews and remember if you have purchased any books (or gadgets etc) which you would like to review and publish send it to me I will be sure to include it.

I have also added "Today in History" a glimpse of what happened on a particular calendar day. Check it out at the bottom of the "Useful Links" page.

This is my reworked web site as of September 2007. If you haven't visited for a while you may not notice a lot of changes but I have restyled all the page link buttons and made all of them captioned for the visually impaired. You might have noticed that the original "curly" navigation buttons have disappeared and have been replaced by a new solid blue color. I liked the concept of the curly style but I found them hard to read, therefore the replacements. If you still like them I have retained a similar button on the SIG Tutorials page for the link buttons. For my efforts the site has been awarded the "Feebleminds Award of Excellence" (see above right) for content, design and ease of use. I am not sure if this is going to result in a Nobel Prize later but it is nice to have a third party tell me the site is acceptable. A link to their web site is on the "Useful Links" page and an acknowledgement is given below.

I have also consolidated some pages and added a couple additions. They are "Book Reviews" where I will try to give honest previews of books I purchase both computer related and others. I am considering expanding this to more than books to include anything I purchase that might be of interest to others. I would also like your input here, have you purchased something recently, (a new camera, computer, car, software, gadget etc.) that you really like or don't like, lemons are welcome, why don't you write a review and I will put it up here.

I have added a page titled "Ships etc." which some of you might find interesting. It has taken me quite some time to put all this together but I hope you like it. Let me know by clicking on the e-mail link on the left and giving me your input.

Check out the SIG Gallery page. I am posting interesting photographs sent in by SIG members or anyone else with a distinctive image so get yours onto the web!

I will try to update the content at least monthly and should you have any contributions in the way of photographs to add to the gallery, additional useful links, good (or bad) books you have read or any other reviews please let me know and I will include them in the site.

For DVPC Elements SIG members I have now added more tutorials, there are now twenty on the Elements SIG Tutorials page. Included in these is my first attempt at a video tutorial, check it out and let me know if you like it! The latest issue of the newsletter, September 2009, is now posted. Also read the "Book Reviews" page for the latest Elements 5 and 6 reference books.

I have recently upgraded my software to Adobe Creative Suite 4, Web Premium,which includes Dreamweaver CS4 and Photoshop CS4. I still use Webstyle4 by Xara for creating flash buttons etc. If you are into web design you certainly need Dreamweaver although it is expensive. Xara on the other hand is priced quite modestly.

I also took advantage of a great site www.feebleminds-gif.com for animated gif's such as the e-mail banner you see on the left.

I use 1 & 1 for my web hosting, a great service at very reasonable prices. They beat anyone including Big Daddy and Yahoo and their service is excellent. Click on the banner ad on the left for further details.
